With tons of this media coming up on Colony Collapse Disorder we feel it is fairly important to note that one of the primary factors involved in diagnosing this disorder is the dramatic disappearance of the bees.
One of the main reasons we are not able to get an exact peg on the cause is due to the fact there are no bodies to perform autopsies on. With that being said some clever folks in Australia came up with a way of tracking their every move to understand how bees interact and respond to their environment.
The bees are to be pacified by refrigeration, then they will fit roughly 5000 censors to the backs of the bees and release them into the wild. With the data taken from these tracking devices they hope to effectively track how bees react to environmental change.
