The Fountain of Youth may have met its match!
Homemade beauty products featuring honey are a cost effective all natural alternative to commercial products.
Honey, traditionally known as a natural sweetener, usually in hot tea, is making a big splash in beauty products. Why? Honey has natural anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties when applied to the skin. In addition, it is packed with vitamins and minerals like calcium, potassium, iron and magnesium, as well as antioxidants, which keep skin looking youthful. Because raw honey contains bee pollen and other elements known to stimulate the skin, it can help with new skin growth, leaving you looking years younger and refreshed.
The power of honey is no secret. Numerous commercial cosmetic and skin care companies use honey in some of their products, such as L’Occitane Honey Whipped Body Cream, which contains an ultra-emollient combo of honey and shea butter. Although these products are great, they can be costly.
Do not be discouraged by high sticker prices. There is a way for you to enjoy the benefits of honey while saving your pocket book. You can make some homemade beauty products right now in your own kitchen. Photo Credit.

Almonds and oats are superb exfoliants for softening the skin.
